K is for Kairos

Kairos: A time when conditions are right for the accomplishment of a crucial action; the opportune and decisive moment.

A distant scratching,

soft silk brushing the parquet,

Creaking approaches.

Shiny specks of dust,

a firefly in my bedroom

coming and going;

Where did it come from?

The windows and doors are closed,

nothing moves around.

Kairotic moment.

No, you fled my watch again.

My heart pumping wild.

She´s with me again:

a kaleidoscope of thrill.

Where are you my love?

Laughter fades away.

I´m not alone anymore.

Who is hunting whom?

  1. I loved this part best:
    Laughter fades away.

    I´m not alone anymore.

    Who is hunting whom?

Also? The whole concept of kairos is new to me. I’d like to think there’s some of that ahead for me, though. You too.
