R is for Bit o´Raspberry /Revolveress

Bit o´Raspberry: An attractive girl, originally a raspberry jam as this was considered the most flavoursome of preserves, so the prettiest of the girls were a bit o‘ raspberry.

Revolveress: A woman who uses a pistol with a great degree of surety.

Bit o´Raspberry,

roaring pleasure in my ears,

romping with my soul.

 

Lovely enchantress,

we were meant to be as one.

alas, Fate hampered!

 

Having lost all things,

you became the fiercest thief,

a Revolveress.

 

You fought and escaped

Inquisition, legend says…

I’ll find you one day.
