U is for Unicorn

Unicorn:  Old French, unicorne. Latin, unicornis. Literally, one-horned: unus, one and cornu, a horn. A fabulous animal resembling a horse with one horn.

Humbly approaching you 
Lady of the Unicorn, 
Lovely but aloof. 

Daydreaming, longing 
for a touch, or a mere stare. 
Enamored with you. 

But you turn around 
and disappear. Are you mythical? 
Was this just a dream? 

This is my Spanish haiku counterpart: U de Unicornio. Why, do you ask? My wonderful crew, #NaNoTribuMX started a micro stories challenge in Spanish this month. (We´re still voting the words we will use this month).
